About the Set.

It was a most unusual garden with its black roses, the touch of velvet The white flowers reminded her of small magnolia, bruising to the touch. There too were flowers that seemed to drip red.
"This is Merima's garden", Mylan's voice startled her. Quickly, she gathered her gown and stood, the high sun just now rising to its zenith.
"I told you before, Mylan, I would rather not know their names." Already, she spied one, two of the soot people and now another in the corner fetching water. She began to move to the gate for her guilt laid heavy upon her and she did not wish to see their dark faces.....soulless faces with sparkling eyes like diamonds.
Mylan caught her arm just as she passed beyond the strange iron gate with its blue and brown patina. "Walk away if you like. You've done it before. But it won't change anything." Mylan's eyes seemed to plead with her. "They made the garden for you, my lady, as they have for the past four thousand years."
Livid with angry laced with confusion, she ran from the garden leaving Mylan to watch and wonder.

She came back to the garden at midnight, when everyone was gone. Soft iluminaries lighted her way through the garden. What drew her back, she did not know. Why had they built this garden? She'd never asked that, never wanted that. If the garden amazed her, then the statue she found in the center amazed her all the more. The statue was rough hewn though it did not lack for fine detail. It was of a woman kneeling with her face in her hands. When she touched it, she found water slowly seeping like tears to water the garden. Somehow she knew if she could look at the face in the hands it would mirror her own.
